We aim to be “life-aligned”: to do right by our own lives and relationships and communities and lineages (eg “the math community”, “the rationalist community”), while having fun.
We run gatherings where varied people, from varied “generative communities” (communities that know stuff about how to figure stuff out, or how to build/create) get together and have adventures. These adventures take many forms including earnest, free-wheeling conversations and small-scale collaborative building projects.
Our focus is local (“life-alignment,” not “altruism”), although we hope to have positive overflows.
We aim to create a community of a couple hundred people, ideally at least one from each “generative community” in the anglosphere, who:
Are all ages, from 18 to “as old as can still travel”.
Aren’t looking for students, or gurus.
Gather occasionally; think it’s really fun to see what we can build together, from time to time.
Can help one another make sense of a rapidly changing world (by bringing different pieces of the puzzle, from communities that can track different things; plus by caring and looking around).
Can help each other remember how to celebrate life.
We are still learning how to do this! We fall on our faces a lot while facing fears and trying new things. And we're getting better at it with help from our friends and neighbors.
